When and where is everything happening?

Saturday, May 29, 2027. The ceremony is at 1:30 PM at St. Mina Coptic Orthodox Church (please be seated by 1:15 PM), and the reception follows at 5:00 PM at the Enmax Conservatory in the Calgary Zoo.

How do I RSVP?

Head to our RSVP page, which takes you to our Zola page where you can reply for everyone in your party. Please respond by January 31, 2027 so we can finalize our numbers.

What should I wear?

Formal / semi-formal attire. As the ceremony is held in a church, we kindly ask that shoulders and knees be covered out of respect for the space. The reception is indoors in a glass conservatory — comfortable shoes are a good idea, and a light layer for the walk in.

How long is the ceremony?

A Coptic Orthodox wedding ceremony typically runs about an hour and a half. If you haven't been to one before, expect beautiful chanting, incense, and plenty of tradition — everything you need to know will be easy to follow along with.

Where do I park at the zoo?

Parking is available on site at the Calgary Zoo, accessed from Zoo Rd NE off Memorial Dr E. If you'd rather not drive, the Zoo / Bridgeland CTrain station (Blue Line) is right nearby.

Can I bring a guest or my kids?

Everyone we've saved a seat for is listed on your RSVP — please confirm each of them so we have an accurate count. Children under 3 don't need to be RSVP'd for; every other guest will appear on the list.

Can I take photos?

We have a photographer capturing the day, so we'd love for you to be fully present during the ceremony itself. At the reception, snap away — we'd love to see your photos!

I'm travelling in — where should I stay?

What about gifts?

Your presence is the greatest gift. If you'd still like to give something, we'd prefer a contribution towards our life together rather than a physical gift.
